Lawrie and I enjoyed performing a set at the Brisbane Steel Guitar festival recently. Lawrie’s father John Minson was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame. Unfortunately due to ill health Lawrie’s dad couldn’t attend however Lawrie accepted the award on his behalf.

The band consisted of Lawrie Minson playing the steel guitar built by his dad John Minson, Milton Quackenbush – piano, Bill Turgeon – Drums, Kedron Taylor – Acoustic Guitar, Ken Myers – Electric Guitar, John Mazur – Bass Guitar and Hugh Curtis – Fiddle.
