I’m excited to be taking part in Frocktober this October!
Frocktober raises funds and awareness for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. The Frocktober Challenge is to wear a dress every day for the month of October.
Unfortunately at this stage there is no early detection tests for ovarian cancer. As a result ovarian cancer is often diagnosed in its late stages and only 20 to 30% of women will survive beyond 5 years of diagnosis. However if cancer can be detected and treated early survival rates increase to 80 to 100%.
I will be posting photos wearing my vintage inspired dresses each day onto my social media accounts. I’m planning on having a fun time going through my wardrobe and dragging out some dresses I haven’t worn in a while!
Lawrie and I will be performing at a Frocktober themed Sunday Sessions and Markets at the Gunnedah Services & Bowling Club on Sunday 11th of October from 9am till 1pm.
